I want to make double-U rectangular microstrip antenna. How can I do shapes inside patch more effectively than drawing rectangulars and cut them? I heard something about Boolean operations (ExOr), but I can´t find it in IE3D.
I want optimize multiband antenna (filter) to many various frequencies. How can I do that, or what optimization goals I must set up. i want this work in ie3d software.
I simulate an antenna with substrate of large thickness(more than 10mm at 10GHz), and use the infinite ground plane, and advanced extension port, so how can I set up the the port to avoid the warning " the substrate thickness factor for port is too big",and "the ground separation/length radio...
I want to cut a slot of arbitrary shape on a structure of printed monopole. How Can I do this.e.g. I want to cut a circlular hole in an ellipse on the same pane. Can we create two shapes in same plane and perform cut operation. Please let me know step by step.
How to construct coaxial structure of dielectric constant(Epsr 2.2) in IE3D (Note: In coaxial Structure, explained in manual there is no specific dielectric constant defined. how to define it?
i am designing two arm archimedean spiral mode MSA using ie3d software.the ie3d version is 11.05. i simulated the compete model. but the anenna & radiation efficiency is too low. also vswr value is 2 for 1.5 to 1.9 ghz range only . suggest the changes in my model to improve efficinct to 80 to 90...
I have a microstrip design, with a number of stubs, spurlines and vias, which occasionally produces a gain of over 100dB at a single frequency. Since there are no devices in the circuit, this is obviously a singularity of some sort in the software. The circuit is all on a single layer, vias only...
