Re: GSM vs CDMA Handset
Yes, even in GSM power control phenomena exists, but its not cruicial because every MS transmits in its own slot.
in CDMA all users use whole B.W at a time so power control system is more important, and farther sets transmits more power (the nearest may decrease the...
pn-sequence
PN stands for pseno random codes in CDMA.PN is assigened at each sector of BTS wn a subsriber come in to that sector that PN is updated.in a BTS each sector has one PN.Each PN has a differnce of 168.for example let α has PN 4.then θ will have PN of 168+4=172 then √=172+168=340

Re: what is cdma
CDMA stands for CODE DIVISION MULTIPLEXING.in its each use same freqenny and time divsion but each subscriber get differnt codes to transmit.it use PN CODES.
Re: GSM vs CDMA Handset
u r right sir
when one MS is near BTS it require less power to transmit if it goes away from BTS it transmit more power to acquire the system.
Re: GSM vs CDMA Handset
Dear
in CDMA network hand set is always searching for the most strong signal avaible so its battey drains out quickly as compared to GSM.when its signal get decrease it transmit more power to acquire he system.
