So, I thought the tolerance band was on, or towards the edge of the res, and also with a space between it and the other bands. Clearly, I was mistaken there.
And that's brown? Ok, I believe ya :) Looks red in real life. Tho, TBH, not the same "shade" as the red as other res.
Cheers.
Hi :)
Can someone help me out with the value of the above res? It's the same, from diff angles.
The reason I am having an issue, is I can't figure out what color the first band is (middle of the body)
I have the 2nd band as either orange or yellow - but which?
I have the 3rd band as black...
Ah, Sozo, Nexgen, Mallory are brands... ok, that helps.
Will do some googling, and get with the manus
In the meantime, are there any other distros like Mouser? Only other one I can find is Taydae in Thailand.
Thanks!
Hi :)
I have a shopping list; I found about 1/2 of what I need on Mouser.com
Where's the next best place to go shopping for caps and resistors?
Thanks in advance.
I have a WP25
Again, it works, but I wonder if I need something with a variable temp - if the one I have now maybe too hot, or not hot enough (I have no idea what it is).
Thx
Hi
I will be working on my amplifiers, some of which are PCB, and some of which are PTP.
Currently, I have a basic Weller. It works, but I wonder if I should get something better, maybe one that has variable temp? If so, what is a good one to get?
And is there a general rule for temps when...
Not sure if the answer depends on the circuit, or if this is a rule that will apply across the board?
So, I get that a resistor will limit the flow of current in the circuit.
I have a circuit with a 10k resistor, and let's say I add to that a 4.7k resistor. I believe this to be called...
Hi :)
I am replacing a resistor on a PCB. The res in question is 820 ohms. That slot on the board, reads "820 1K" The 820 of course tells me the value of the res; is it possible to discern what the "1K" means?
Thanks in advance.
Did Mouser send you capacitors or tiny little animals?
Both! I tried hooking up the ferrets first, but I found the sound too furry.
When an oriental capacitor is marked with "k" then it means its value is +/- 10% tolerance. A tantalum capacitor has polarity. If you connected it backwards then...
Re: Is a tantulum different from a microferet tantulum cap?
I think you misheard. MICROFARAD, not “microferret”.
Quite possibly!
And, there’s no such thing as a .68k cap.
Ok, should have typed .68uf - sorry!
