    Detecting Perforation

erikl, That sounds intersting! I'll think about it and check how can that be assembled in this case. I´ll Get back with more info. Thanks, Ric

    Detecting Perforation

Hi! First of all, thanks for your replies. kak111, The box is not solid, neither hermetic as well. Not sure how to handle pressure inside it. luben111, I´ve already tried to substitute my tailored wire structure. My first though was build it like a membrane keyboard with silver based...

    Detecting Perforation

Hi! You can think the box as a safe, let´s say 600x600x600mm and this part is to detect intrusion. If a hole is made on it I'll fire an alarm. Today I have this bunch of wires tailored over a piece of tissue and glued over the box. Like a huge mechanical fuse. Hope this helps. Thanks. Ric

    Detecting Perforation

Hi, I need to provide a solution to detect a perforation (e.g. drill hole) in a box (metal) when it takes place. Currently I have a external structure with wires that covers the whole surface. Works similar to a fuse but it´s hard to install it. Has anyone done something for this purpose...

Suggestion to detect a cover shield !?

Hi chuckey! They can be both, new or old. What kind of difference I would get from this approch? Signal Amplitude? Thanks again. Ric

Suggestion to detect a cover shield !?

Hello, Not sure if it is the right forum....anyway I need to check if a block of money bills inside a cabinet is covered by any other material like a sheet or plastic film or if there´s nothing on top of it only the bills. The main idea it to detect someone placed a cover shield over the bill...

How to detect touch without mechanical triggers?

Re: Detect touch Kender, Thanks for pointing me to some AN...that will be very helpful for sure. As far the second part I just can´t see how to make it happen. Even with the mechanical trigger there was a problem...the solution at that time was to create a sort of obstacle so that just one...

How to detect touch without mechanical triggers?

Detect touch I need to substitute a mechanical trigger used inside a suit case handler (metal handler). The trigger (coil and switch) is used to detect someone is carrying the suit case. The idea is to remove the mechanical items and have something based on touch only. I was thinking about...

How to find current from mj/Ohm

Hi, I have some information for another squib (not the one I'm using right now) but it may be helpful to understand: Resistence (ohm +/-15%): 1.05 Max current (no ignition): 0.3A Min. current (ignition): 0.6A Energy (mJ/ohm): 3.2 For the squib I'm using now the only info. I have is: 4mJ/Ohm...

How to find current from mj/Ohm

mj ohmm Hi, I have to define the current needed to trigger a squib (you can imagine this as a fuse). The parameters I have are its impedance (1.5 ohm) and the energy necessary to fire it (4 mJ/Ohm). Is there any way to calculate the current needed (let's say I will connect it to a 1.5V...

    Emitter/receiver for frequency detection

Hi, I need to work on a small system like this: Part 1) Emitter: This one I call "frequency emitter" (not sure the correct name). It's supposed to continuously send a 1.632Khz signal (no modulation needed) through an antenna. Part 2) Receiver: Its job is just detect the presence or absence of...
