how electricity is stored in power house

hi all, do power houses store electricity when it is receive from the power plants (nuclear/thermal/solar/wind)? if yes how it is stored ? do they use batteries to store ? or it is just a live transmission straight from the power plants to power houses and at last in our homes? thanks...

Basic question about AC and its polarity

need more clarification. >>>>how we designate phase and neutral statically when it keeps on changing ? you can easily establish the identity of neutral and phase without a problem. >>> how can we establish the identity of phase and neutral when ground comes into picture? is static...

Basic question about AC and its polarity

hi all, I have a basic question in electricity. when there is no polarity in Alternating current then what is the idea of designating phase and neutral wires in AC? as i know from sine curve AC runs bidirectional from phase side to neutral and then back. thanks

alternative to AC to AC power adapter

i understand there are two transformers here. 1) current sensing transformer : CT sensor . I am not taking about this. 2) power adapter transformer : this is what i am talking about. it can be 9-0-9 (9V rms output value as per the doc as only 5v can be tolerated by Arduino) . what should...

alternative to AC to AC power adapter

now i understand, i can use any transformer of 6-0-6 or 9-0-9 or 12-0-12 rating. what should be the current rating in the transformer? i know in primary winding I will have 100 amp flowing...what about in secondary winding ? so that it should be safe for me as well as my Arduino. 1608735979...

alternative to AC to AC power adapter

hi all, I am going to build energy meter using Arduino with the help given in below link. but I do not find any AC to AC (230 to 9v) adapter in my country. what could be alternative to this? any circuit DIY circuit to make it my self...

    relay power consumption

hi, does this type of ldr and relay based light solution really saves money? for saving energy consumed by my 6 watt LED street bulb, am I not losing power to run 5V relay module? https://www.electronicshub.org/automatic-street-light-controller-circuit-using-relays-and-ldr/ thanks

connecting 5v relay with 3.3v nodemcu pin

can we some how increase the voltage from 3V3 pin to 5v and use this powering up relay? i see somewhere about logic sifter (3.3v -> 5v). it seems this is being used to step up voltage for sensor signalling purpose. can this be also used to powering up relay? some online seller do not give...

connecting 5v relay with 3.3v nodemcu pin

hi all, i want to power up 5V 2-channel relay module with 3v3 pin of nodeMCU. Can it be directly connected or do i need some thing to step up voltage? nodemcu is powered with 5v micro-usb cell charger. i do not want another/dedicated power source for relay module...

    topology optimization

in this case how about dropping the modbus communication at all? i can connect all nearby sensors to a central Arduino for each room. and all these Arduino should connected over 2.4 ghz wireless link to a central Arduino. how do you see this design? will it fit to my requirement by seeing no of...

    topology optimization

which one is the simplest ans cheapest micros controller can be used for this purpose. Atmega328P seems costly if needs to be used for each sensor.
