hi,
if you just want to draw a 3d object then GMSH can serve you
it is a 3D finite element grid generator
https://www.geuz.org/gmsh/#Download
its free!
u can then use the geometry file generated by gmsh in your simulator
regards
Re: ADS-Matlab
can ael compiler of ads compile the matlab file/code if yes then how
& how to assign the scattering parameters for each port of my 2 port component model ?(in AEL)
Re: mode impedance
hmsheng thanx for reply,
I have to design a filter for this antenna, when i simulate the antenna in ADS with 50 ohm termination(Term in ADS) it gives different impedance as when i did with 670 ohm termination.
how should I know the correct impedance of the antenna to design...
I have a scattering param file of an antenna with mode impedance of the guide 670 ohm at access, should i simulate the file in ADS with 50 ohm termination or 670 ohm termination ( S param file has R=50 )?
consider the following expression
EvenZ(s)=½[Z(s)+Z(-s)]
where Z(s)=a(s)/b(s)
if i am dealing with a lossless system i.e. σ=0,
to construct the polynomial Z(-s) what to do with a(s)=ao*s+a1*s²+a2*s³..... when say s=4GHz
should i just place -4GHz inplace of s in the polynomial Z(-s) or...
Re: Z(-s) ???
I asked thid question in relevence to this expression
EvenZ(s)=½[Z(s)+Z(-s)]
where Z(s)=a(s)/b(s)
if i am dealing with a lossless system
to construct the polynomial Z(-s) what to do with a(s) when say s=4GHz
should i just place -4GHz inplace of s in the polynomial Z(-s) or...
if Z(s) = 50 + j30 then what will be Z(-s) ??????
can anyone please define Z(-s)
if I have a polynomial let say a(s)=ao*s+a1*s²+a2*s³.....,
then how can I write a(-s)?
Via in @ds
In @ds there are three layers to define a via that are,hole,cond1 & cond2
cond1 is upper tranaitional metal Layer and cond2 is bottom transitional metal layer
I have defined cond1 as cond, but what should I define cond2
rfc inductors
Thanks dopradar,
what are the formulas to calculate inductance from S parameter
can we follow any standard method to design it.
Line calculators are only for straight microstrip lines, how can one calculate the inductance of any arbitrary structure or that particular RFC inductor...
