indeed, today someone has told me that I could use push-pull amplifier. However, currently the main problem is whatever my design is, I can not simulate it since I do not know how to add the MOSFET model to the PSPICE as I explained in my previous post.
Any suggestions on this problem?
As I understood from the Id vs. Vds curve in the datasheet, the gm value for this MOSFET could be quite higher than I thought(even in the order of 10 S). So, how can I verify this with PSPICE. In the datasheet the following "PSPICE Electrical Model" is given:
.SUBCKT FDP8880 2 1 3
Ca 12 8...
thank you, what you are saying is definitely worth trying. at this point I wanted to ask another quick question. How exactly are we going to determine the values of un,cox and W/L from the datasheet of a MOSFET. For instance one of the MOSFETs we can use has the datasheet which I attached.
For...
I am supposed to design a power amplifier which has a MOSFET output stage. It should deliver as much power as possible to a 20 ohm load. Therefore, I am trying to make the output impedance as near to 20 ohm as possible.
Thus, obviously I should use a common drain MOSFET. However, the problem...
Is it possible in MATLAB to add a row of a matrix to all other rows of the same matrix without using a "for" or "while" loops or any iterative methods, ie in just one step?
waveguide to microstrip transition
hi,
i am trying to design a simple waveguide to microstrip probe transition using HFSS. i have a WR-22 waveguide and the substrate for the transition is Duroid-6002. When I draw the geometry and put a probe i get about -120dB insertion loss. The design...
Hi,
we are supposed to design a bandpassfilter and a waveguide using one of the following programs: CST microwave,AWR,ADS.
which one do you suggest that we should learn? ie, which one is easiest to learn and has sufficient user interface and necessary tools?
phase between two signals
I want to obtain two sine waves that have same frequency and 90degree phase difference. I have two signal generators for this purpose(stanford research systems DS345) whose operation manuel is given at ;

I have a very very simple geometry in hfss. It consists of a big box, whose material is air, and nothing else. I am giving a plane wave whose Eo vector is 1V/m and at X-direction and k vector is at Z-direction.
I am trying to plot e-field along lines. So I am drawing a line along x axes and...
In the "Calculating the Current along a Wire or Trace" section of cookbook if I understood correctly the H field has been dot producted with the closed line, which had been defined previously, and then the line integral is taken. And there it says that the result of this integral is equal to the...
Hi,
I create a cylinder(copper wire) in hfss. Then I create another cylinder which is a vacuum medium. Then I create a big box that represents mine outer medium. Then I put the wire to the vacuum medium. And there is no problem. However, when some portion of the wire is outside the vacuum...
When I go "hfss-results-create report" then there opens a window and there are only "Freq" and "Phase" quantities under the "Variables" category and no other variables under any other category. So, I can only have a freq vs phase graph. There should be a way to add more parameters to this graph...
With using Jvol and Jsurf command I have been able to see some coloring on my wires. However, I need to see some concrete values. Because I will change the inductor value that I put there and I need to look how the current change on the wire. But it is very hard to see those color differences...
Thanks. first 3 questions are solved. However, has anybody any idea about the last question? Because it is very important for me to look to the currents on the wire. How can I use the field calculator?
