Hi all,
Can someone tell me how can I determine the dots (i.e how the current flows) in the primary an secondary coils of a planar transformer? Is there a safe way to figure them out or I need to use EM simulation?
Thanks
Hello,
I am facing the following problem: Say that I have a system of N coupled transmission lines and I am simulating the system with an EM simulator. Based on the resulting S parameter matrix, how can I extract the Capacitance, Inductance, Resistance and Conductance matrices? Then, from these...
electromigration metal 1 width
Hi,
I think (at least as I read in a Chenming Hu's paper) that there are 2 mechanisms of electromigration. One is the electron momentum transfer, which can be ignored in high frequencies, and the other is thermal electromigration, which must be accounted for AC...
how to avoid electromigration
Hi all,
I need some help with calculating the metal widths in my design in order to avoid electromigration.
My IC process provides me with the maximum allowed DC current density for each metal layer, VIA etc at 110 degrees Celsius. I have the following questions...
Hi,
I am using momentum 2006A in order to simulate a planar spiral inductor with a patterned ground shield. The problem is that I do not fully understand how to insert ground to the shield. I tried to use ground ports but they need to be associated with another port. When I associate them with...
Hi,
I guess you are about to design a double swing circuit (e.g. a Power Amplifier)
The answer depends on two parameters:
1) Where is this voltage is going to be applied? If you are going to apply it to the Gate, forget it!
2) For how long is this voltage going to be applied? (Tell me more...
Everything is welcome. I would prefer a 0.25 um process but in case anyone has something else, I don't mind right now.
If you have various processes, please send me all of them as long as they are SOI
Thanks,
John
Hi all,
I want to develop an experimental analog design using a SOI MOSFET process. The problem is that i cannot find free SOI MOSFET models that I can use for design. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance,
John
Hi all,
I don't know if this is the correct forum for this question but i will give it a try:
Consider a PN junction in forward bias, the width of the depletion region contains a term Vb - V where V is the applied voltage and Vb is the build in potential. My question is what happens when the...
