simulador step 7
you can't simulate it within microwin itself, like you can with STEP7 and PLCSIM.
But there a small program which can load a .awl and DB1 file and can simulate a S7_200 and even a TD200 OP panel together.
You can download it **broken link removed**

plc www.mediafire.com
well, i'm interested in a "real" PLC simulator which can be used with CX programmer. How big is "Symulator CPM1" ?
I hope it's a bit good for a non polish speaker ;-)
my mail and msn : monty_burns_007@hotmail.com
thx,

Yes it is possible, but you have to know the SMS protocol to the SMS center. But yes you can use a normal telephone line with a PSTN modem.
I once programmed a small tool in VB6 to send sms with normal modems on com1 port.

Does anyone have experience with the webservers from intellution ?
I've got iWebserver 2.0 (1999) for iFix x.x and it works great.
But is there also a webserver for the older Fix32 v.7.0 scada software ?

just program your action in the PLC.
All buttons (numeric, system and functions) are available as bits in words in the PLC via a word table. If you can't program this function (ex. 2x ...) in the XBT then do it in software in the PLC program

sms for pstn
well it exist alright...
SMS over PSTN lines do exist, we use it to connect a standard S7-300 Siemens PLC with a normal PSTN modem to send SMS messages with alarms,etc...

I used it once in AGV (automatic guided vehicales) in an automated plant. Because they where very compact. I once made a ladder logic to microchip asm converter which we used the to make PLC like programs. They (the pic's of all agv's) where also in communication with the mainfraim PLC's (S5...
Re: "Normal"/Industrial Ethernet. What is the diff
well "industrial ethernet" is a trademark of siemens
it uses shielded cables with sub D connector
but it is also possible to use normal UTP cables.
Siemens ethernet also uses a special protocol :
no ip adresses are used, but the MAC adresses...
Re: "Normal"/Industrial Ethernet. What is the diff
the difference between normal ethernet and indutrial ethernet is just the cable.
industrial ethernet is more shielded and better used in industrial enviremont (like near to power cables, frequenty drivers,...)

sms protocol book
Well here you can find a sample description on how to make the UCP coded stuff....
Attached is a pdf file with the whole UCP protocol description

sms+protocol
I 've figured it out.
Now i'm able to send sms messages from almost every serial device.
So also including a PLC (ex. S7) with a normal PSTN modem :)
You can dial a SMTP central (it's a GSM number) with a normal PSTN modem. Then when the connection is made you just send some...
check out Trysim, it's a full 3D testing tool for automation tasks, you can design complete machines with this tool, add I/O to it (prox. switches, valves, cylinders, movement, rotation, ....) and eventually load a complete PLC program in the virtual machine or installation. Many samples...
