I have a structure which is excited by a line current source parallel to z axis. The current varies along the line in the form of exp(-j.beta.z), where "beta" is a constant number. Now my quation is that how I can model this kind of current in HFSS9.2.
lumped element in hfss
I'm wondering whether it is possible to use lumped element (ideal inductor and capacitor) in HFSS.If so how can we do that?
I want to use this possibility (if there is) to model Metamaterials (Those materials with negative refractive index) in HFSS.I appreciate your help.
Re: filter design
If you mean you can use a filter as an attenuator in its stop band you should pay attention that it won't have good return loss at all.
Really I have an idea for using SMD components in Stripline structure without punching out the upper cover.for example for mounting transistor we can use via holes to transfer the mounting pads of transistor pins to the back of the upper cover board and then montage the transistor on that.
