Hello,
has anybody a hint how to calculate the thermal resistance of a double layer chopper pattern with thermal vias?
For the first step it is enough to knwo how to calculate the resostance foe a defined caopper area on the pcb.
Thanks.
Hello,
I have in mind that there is a software or a web page which can identify an electronic device on its label printed on its top.
e.g. I have a device with the label GEZ 44 on it. Now I want to know the part number to get the electrical data an the pinout.
Can someone help?

detect serial infrared
I generate several software PWMs. So I think I have not enough time to decode one ir message without interruption of the pwm generation. I think it is better to use the usart to decode a ir signal because it is buffered an don´t disturbe the pwm generation in the main loop.
Set the Cursor (the PIC) to the line in the source code where I double click (like Visual Studio -> for Visual Bsasic).
No I have to rigth click in the line and chosse "Set PC at cursor".
ambilight
Hello,
I have no idea on chips to use but I am very interested in a ambilight project. Have you started such a project to build an ambiligth? Can you provide some information?

Re: Noise Level Meter
Hello,
as you can see in the schematic I used a capacitor an resistor in series parallel to the mic preamp to delay the leds. Now I have to find out the rigth values for cap and resistor so that the leds will be updated in the desired time.
Basicly can I switch a cap an...
Hello,
I want to realise a switching voltage regulator with an pic to drive e.g. high current leds. Microchip provides in AN 874 a asm source code fpr PIC12 but I want do it with PIC18 and C. So have sombodey experiences in writing c code to realise a switching regulator. I think the PI...
Re: Noise Level Meter
Hello, and thanks for helping.
Pin2 of R8 isn´t connected to ground. I only made this misstake in the schematic. In this schem I have no rectifier because it is the design I use as first like described at the first threat.
I don´t really understand this? Why won´t I...
Re: Noise Level Meter
Hello,
I tried rectifier allone but without sucess.
The LM3915 has intern comperators.
You mean instead LM3915 to use several comperators?
Which you can recommend?
Hello,
I´m designing a noise level meter.
I use an electret mic an preamplifier and a LM3915 to drive 3 LEDs (green, yellow, red, like a traffic light).
For the first time everything is working so-so.
My problem is the high dynamic of the mic / preamp output. The Leds flicker. I want to have...
