Hi, I faced a problem in exciting a coaxial cable in XFDTD. How do you excite this cable when you have an inner and outer conductor? I've tried to put a voltage source across it but result is funny. I'll appreciate it anyone can send me an example file on it.

You can't. HFSS does not give you this information nor allow you to specify what modes to be input to the port.

There is definitely something wrong with your simulation. Even if you don't get perfect 0 for s11, it should still be nearly so. Why don't you post your file and then we can take a look at it?

I assume you're not scanning since yours is only a small array. In that case, stretch your element to element spacing to 1 lambda, or about there. Reason is you get slightly more gain out of it and it's easier to layout the feed lines. As for how to do corporate feeding, there're...

I thought I've sent you an antenna model that works from 88 to 108MHz? Basically you just have to adjust the arm length of the dipole to get even better return loss. Or you can change the shorted portion at the coaxial outer sleeve.

You have not included in the excitation in your simulation so how do I know that you have simulate correctly. Pls attach your full simulation (with the excitation here).
