Maybe Fom's explanation is not clear enough, so I will try to reformulate it:
Use xtal to make osc for one PIC. Then connect it's CLKOUT pin with CLKIN pin of other PIC. Other PIC has to be configured to use external clock.

I think that there are some photodiodes or phototransistors in ORCAD libraries (If I remember well, there is the OPTO library). I suggest that you use them. If it is necessary, you can modify the model for your particular part.

Sorry if I was not clear enough. When I said "the source of your problems" I wanted to say "the cause of your problems". You know, I think that problem is in USB driver, because Microchip uses its own USB driver for USB peripherals.

I do not know whether you need Microchip driver. I now that Microchip's ICD2 uses its own driver to communicate with MPLAB. I suspect that it is the source of your problems.

#INCLUDE is just assembler directive. You place it where you want assembler to include other *.asm file. Generally, it is not related with subroutines. You use it just to have your program splitted in several files.

I could't read from your post full part number, so I don't know the rated current of your triac. If it is not too high, you can get sensitive gate version from Phillips or ST. You can drive 10 or 16 A sens. gate triac from uC. If you have spare uC pins, connect them in parallel...

The type of the filter approximation depends on the component values. Also, load and source resistances influence the characteristic. If source res is 0, than C3 does not influence the filter characteristic.
