    Two PICs with single crystal

Maybe Fom's explanation is not clear enough, so I will try to reformulate it: Use xtal to make osc for one PIC. Then connect it's CLKOUT pin with CLKIN pin of other PIC. Other PIC has to be configured to use external clock. maranaza

DPI/SFG Analysis Method (chapter from PhD thesis)

Re: DPI/SFG Analysis Method Sorry for late help, but better ever than never. It is a chapter of the PhD thesis: http://www.eecg.toronto.edu/~kphang/papers/PhDthesis.pdf Cheers, maranaza

    help me on photo detector

I think that there are some photodiodes or phototransistors in ORCAD libraries (If I remember well, there is the OPTO library). I suggest that you use them. If it is necessary, you can modify the model for your particular part. maranaza

Problem with connecting icd2 clone to USB port with serial to USB adapter

tusb3410 icd2 pmar_kpj, Sorry if I was not clear enough. When I said "the source of your problems" I wanted to say "the cause of your problems". You know, I think that problem is in USB driver, because Microchip uses its own USB driver for USB peripherals. maranaza

Problem with connecting icd2 clone to USB port with serial to USB adapter

probleme driver icd2 usb pmar_kpj, I do not know whether you need Microchip driver. I now that Microchip's ICD2 uses its own driver to communicate with MPLAB. I suspect that it is the source of your problems. maranaza

mkdefcfg failed on creating expand.cfg file Jenkoh, check if this env.var can help you: export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 Type it in the terminal window before starting the program, or put it in your .bashrc file. Bye, maranaza

how to design a photodiode preamp with 2Mohm transimpedance

preamplifier photodiod PONDERBOY, You can make two-stage preamp. Read the BB Application Buletin "AB-075.pdf". maranaza

How to use: #INCLUDE "***.ASM" in PIC?

You can place all project files in the same folder. If the file is in another folder, use full name with path, when you want to include it with the #include directive. You did not read my reply. As I said, it has nothing to do with subroutines. Subroutines are another thing. If you write "call...

how to design a photodiode preamp with 2Mohm transimpedance

apd preamplifier op amp If the supply range 2.7 to 5.5V is not a problem, then use TI OPA380. On the product page you will also find link for the model maranaza

How to use: #INCLUDE "***.ASM" in PIC?

You forgot, no thanks in the post! #INCLUDE is just assembler directive. You place it where you want assembler to include other *.asm file. Generally, it is not related with subroutines. You use it just to have your program splitted in several files. maranaza

Looking for replacement of Teccors L200X to drive a triac

Re: Triac and µC I could't read from your post full part number, so I don't know the rated current of your triac. If it is not too high, you can get sensitive gate version from Phillips or ST. You can drive 10 or 16 A sens. gate triac from uC. If you have spare uC pins, connect them in parallel...

Any way to protect TRIAC from exploding when over current?

triac circuit As much as I know, high current semiconductor fuse is more expensive than triac itself. Hence, I don't see good reasons for its use. I don't understand how do you mean to "safely turn off the TRIAC when needed before it burnout". With another high power fast switch that can...

A "passive filter" is a Butterworth type or Chebys

Re: A "passive filter" is a Butterworth type or Ch The type of the filter approximation depends on the component values. Also, load and source resistances influence the characteristic. If source res is 0, than C3 does not influence the filter characteristic. maranaza

[REQ] OrCAD Layout to Allegro Footprints translator

transolb.exe You probably know that you can translate part libs from orcad to concept/allegro with transolb.exe. I think there is no similar translator for footprints. maranaza
