hi jeet_asic...really nice and brief introduction about soc.thanks a lot for mentioning book

Thanks yadavvlsi
that book is some what tough to read...could u tell some other book in which basics of soc are present..
hi techies..
System on Chip is the recent trend in VLSI technology.I wish to learn and design a soc on my own.could you suggest me how to start?
what are the basic elements of soc? what book is useful for that? Ideas are greatly appreciated. i am eagrly waiting for your reply dudes....
HI dude
CCS is very much simple.its like turbo C or ansi C .The major difference is that here we have to correctly mention in which address we are giving input and collecting output.you can refer texas instruments site for CCS procedures.try it..
follow the steps to do analysis
1.short circuit all capacitors like coupling, bypass if any etc in the circuit.
2.Remove the Dc source and connect the terminal to ground.
3.apply kvl to the input loop then for output loop
you will get output voltage, current etc interms of inputs. hope this helpful
Hope you knwo DRC means Design Rule Checker. For each and every technology (here yours is 0.13um)file has its own design rules.in that design rule they predefined the size of lengths, widths, diffusion density, minimum gap has to be left for routing etc.,So we stick to those rules in order to design...
yes it is possible in the case of mixed signal modelling.by using either Averiog or AMSvhdl language but for these things we need simulators which supports analog and mixed signal hdl.we cant run this using either xilinx or quartus ise..
The main reason why we consider response of the ear is in real world everything is analog in nature like speech, sound etc.,But in electronics processing digital is much convenient than analog.while doing digital processing especially for real time signals approximation leads to great loss of...

Iverilog:
Icarus Verilog is a Verilog simulation and synthesis tool. It operates as a compiler, compiling source code written in Verilog (IEEE-1364) into some target format. For batch simulation, the compiler can generate an intermediate form called vvp assembly. This intermediate form is...
Re: Known facts but unknwon DETAILS-->Analog versus Digital filters in Circuit level.
yes thanks for continuous response.i will go through that link and books..
Re: Known facts but unknwon DETAILS-->Analog versus Digital filters in Circuit level.
Thanks FvM for the quick response and valuable points.
1.could you give me some ideas regarding the advantages of analogue filter over digital filter in terms of filter parameters like role off rate, order of...
thanks 4 ur immediate response kirteshmiet...its all fine..nice explanation...but vead and mine doubt is analog and digital systems are having internal circuits which is made up of similar components like transistors, resistors, capacitors etc...for your rememberence internal circuit of any...
Known facts but unknwon DETAILS-->Analog versus Digital filters in Circuit level...
Dear techies...
I have concepts wise doubt in both analogue and digital circuit long time, kindly clarify my doubts...
1.what is the advantage of analog filter over digital filter? (usually all are discussing...
hi guys this discussion s going on well...me too hav that doubt lik vead...
dude here u mentioned converters for analog and digital domain..,could you please make our doubt clear in circuit level..? why because is most of the answers or related to difference between analog and digital...
