As to the analog ICdesign,it's design flow can be follows":
1.determine what kind of circuit sturcture you are going to use.
2.optimize the circuit and simulation
3.layout and simulation
For vco design, you can buy the book"the design of low noise oscillator",or you can search in google, there are much paper on it published in IEEE.

geometric programming complementary lc
Hi,everyone:
I am now designing a complementary corss-coupled lc oscillator and i want to optimize it using the geometric programming. But i know nothing about the geometric programming. So can anyone give me some advice on it or can you provide me some...
Hi,everyone:
I am now designing a complementary crossed-coupled lc oscillator at 1.6GHz.As to know there are two ways to optimize an oscillator. One is the geometric programming, the other is the graphical optimization process.
So could anybody explain the difference between them for me?Also...

As to me, i think you should first read some book on it completely, then if you meet with some practical questions ,you can search in google for papers about it!Ther are a lot of paperson it published by IEEE
I suggest you should first determine which subject to deal with. Then buy a book about it and read it completely,at the same time you can use a simulation tool with the example given in the book and do it.
