Re: total resistor
This makes things difficult. I am certain I have never seen an oddball resistor network such as this in any schematics. Anyways, a good approximation for your circuit is to calculate the voltages without the cross resistor. Then you will get 7.5 on one side and 5 on the other.
Yeah, re is a signal impedance. If you just apply a voltage to the PN junction you will get the current. I believe the formula is e to the VBE/VT where VT is the thermal voltage. I have never used this equation. But it looks useful.
It has to do with the fact that amplifier on either end must remain biased under a changing load condition. You do this with low value resistors. Remember that resistor to ground at the base of a transistor that makes the input independent of the transistors change in beta. This is the reason...
Re: help me plz
Here is an overview. The circuit is an amplifier with gain. The capacitors are used to actively filter the frequencies that are input. An active filter is basically an amplifier and filter in one. You must always amplify and filter or you will lose the magnitude of the...
A DC to DC converter does not regulate. A regulator uses the output as feedback and directly affects the output voltage. It is a simple loop. The value of the voltage of a DC to DC converter can be very constant. So yes in some cases you don't need a regulator. Very interesting. The nice thing...
Re: DO WITHOUT MAX232
That is an interesting circuit to say the least. The problem is that it is only half duplex. What you really need is a charge pump. This will take care of the voltage levels.
It is my opinion that the gate has to perform the function to the best of it's capabilty. You want high gain and you want the high voltage associated with logic level. These are the two nuisances that will lead to the design that already exists for the gate.
Re: what is RMS voltage?
If you take the RMS and square it you get the average of the sin x squared when dealing with the sign wave. So a sign wave with an amplitude of 3 has an RMS of 2.121. Square that and you get 4.49. This is the average of the 3sin x quantity squared. You have to know...
active low-pass filter bode phase oscillation
Many things can cause the appearance of an oscillation. My circuit oscillates without power. Apply a signal and don't worry about it. Do you get the desired results. The power supply also has ripple and it would be hard to tell if the circuit really...
The source or the sink is the direction of current flow. In digital logic you source because the +5v is creating current in one direction while the sink of 0v is creating current in the opposite direction. The current of the source in digital logic should be close to zero but for some reason...
He is using a DC adaptor so the current limiting function will be directly on the AC side. To current limit the AC side wouldn't you need to use a triac. That would require a pulse to turn it off. That might work. The trigger arrangent migh be little tricky.
Use a thermal fuse. I am sure they make them although I have never used one. You can use a transistor arrangement but it will affect the regulation if you so desire to regulate the voltage of the supply. Let's say you have 16v that is regulated. The regulator will maintain the 16v but a...
