I have the motion detector which switchs on/off 120V(110V;220V) power source from the incandecent light bulb in the bathroom.
But ON state lasts only 17 seconds.

I tried to power on with it still stayin on the board. It made thick white smoke again.
Took it off the board and tried again. It's working now. Checked with Crystal Disk Info for S.M.A.R.T.. It's showing "GOOD". Copying files from & to the HDD is OK.

Actually I googled much yesterday so that i'm about to get that info but you gave me the exact one!
I'm enjoying playing with sound file by giving effects to the original.
Nowadays I'm interested in filtering certain bandwidth from hearable sound range between 20Hz and 22kHz. Normal adults can recognize upto 16kHz only.
In frequency spectrum editor, for example I extract 14.5kHz ~ 15.5kHz...

Just now I plugged power cable to my HDD but upside down. I don't know why. It's my mistake.
And I switched it on. Then all at once I spotted a tiny spark and tiny amount of smoke + smell. Soon I unplugged from HDD. But noticed the * on the chip unit's side.
