    Channel Modelling Problem

Hello; Not sure about the exact nature of the problem, just a suggestion. You could use the FDTD method for modelling the channel. try to find articles on modelling water as media in FDTD. This could solve your problem, but could be very lengthy

    Wireless Communications Lab

Could someone plz provide me info on a wireless communication lab. Basically I am looking for equipemnt which can be incorporated in such a lab. I know of boards attached to the computer on which you can do simulations, but I would like some thing more than that, like proper hardware on which...

Help on Boundry Conditions of Dielectric in FDTD

Can anyone help me on the boundry conditions in wave propagating from free space into a dielectric. According to electromagnetics, the tangential E-field is continous, but in Dennis Sullivan book on FDTD (chapter 1), he takes D-field to be continous. Thankx

    FDTD PEC and MUR abc's

fdtd pec You can implement a PEC boundary in FDTD by simply enforcing the condition E(tan)= -E(scat). This can be done by defining the FDTD points of the tangantial Electric components on the PEC by zero. But this case is for a grounded PEC.

Does anybody have some e-book for FDTD?

You wont find any e-book on FDTD, although there are a lot of papers on FDTD available in e-form. You only need to buy the book by Alan Taflove and that is more than what you need.

Differences of Hard Source and Soft Source in FDTD

hard source soft source A hard source is one that superimposes some wave excitation in the FDTD grid. so you cannot study the reflections or calculate S11 at that point. A soft source is one that caters both the wave excitaion by the mathematical function and the reflection. In terms of...

2D FDTD MATLAB program with Berenger PML

Re: Help on PML I have not implemented the Berenger PML but am about to complete the UPML implementation. I am having problems in setting the magnitude of the loss conductivities. I dont understand the implementation of PML by Dennis Sullivan. Will upload the code once I am done.
