Antenna efficiency goes beyoud one in HFSS simulating?

You may try seeding the radiation boundry yourself. There is a problem in their generated radiation info. I have found issues with phase data and lower level off axis x-pol data. The boundry seeding is what I was told to try. I havent had much time to play with it to see if its effective or not...

How to display an electric field of a 3D structure in LiNb03

Re: hfss help me :( You'll need to set up an 'infinite sphere' for far or near field under radiation. The 3d plot is pretty easy to get as a report but have a look at the coordinate sys on the 3d plot - the phi and theta are reversed. Something to keep in mind when you want a specific cut.

I need help with HFSS 9.0

HFSS will end up being over taxed with a log periodic dipole array. You will have a better time of it if you use another code. maybe--AOpro, WIPL, Supernec, possibly even IE3D although size may ge to be a problem there as well. best of luck..........

How to export field data in HFSS 9.0?

Re: HFSS export You will need to generate a 2d plot. Right on the plot and you'll have the option of exporting the file. I have not seen the same options for the full 3d data file.

Converting HFSS Drawing to "DXF" file Format

hfss dxf Try saving as a .sat file and then opening in the program of your choice to save as a .dxf. You may have to fool with the ACII ver to get the import to go smoothly. H3O

    Reflector Antenna Software

grasp8w tutorial That's quite an add! With my limited look at grasp it seems like they have changed some of the interfaces and some not-so-much. Like any of these programs that use the nec core there is a lot of capability but you have to go through the learning curve prior to getting any real...

Need help for wideband microstrip antennas.

Are you looking for a cp or linear microstrip? Cavity backed or thin? The thinner you are required to be the less (as a general rule) bandwidth you will get. look into log elements, shorted patch elements, printed spirals, vivaldi elements (a number of simulation mfg's have used vivaldi...

Looking for microstrip antenna for Cellol

Re: microstrip antena What kind of a match are you looking for over your band? I haven't had great luck with the Vivaldi antenna for being well matched over a wide band, kind of cyclical. Could be I haven't fooled with it enough. Does the antenna have to be thin due to mounting or is thin...
