Re: Microstrip design at low frequency (868MHZ) : CST or HFS
Hello
It's not necessary to rebuild the meshing for th accuracy with CST
If you want to have a good accuracy, you can use the template for started a design and use the adaptative meshing for the first process. When your meshing is ok...
Re: Microstrip design at low frequency (868MHZ) : CST or HFS
Hi
In fact this not the printed structure (antenna,...) who have decided our choice of the software. We need to simulate multilasyers PCB with 3D connector and mechanical constraints.
The more accuracy results were obtained with CST...
Re: Microstrip design at low frequency (868MHZ) : CST or HFS
Hi
After a lot of simulations with Ansoft team and CST team we have chosen CST for the very good accuracy with our benchmark.
The choose of the software depend on the problems.
Each software is good but for us CST is better.
For...
Hi
I need your opinion concerning the system simulation. I have tested VSS from AWR and Designer.
I found that VSS is better than Designer but perhaps it's due to the very simple user interface.
I didn't find how to place an HB simulation inside the system simulation with Designer.
Thanks...
intuilink 8753
Hi
I have tested the eval version of SPview for make the capture of the data.
It work fine and the price is not expensive.
I think that it is a solution for the old VNA
You can download the eval version directly at :

Hi Sergio
I have just found moment now to try your solution!! sorry
I downloaded the V1.3 of intuilink. When I want to connect my VNA, I have the message "8720B is not a supported instrument"
It's impossible to acquire any data.
What is your VNA (8720D)??
Have you any idea...
mesh setting cst
Hi Element7K
Thank for your pics. I will try it as soon as possible.
I'm interesting to simulate a big antenna structure.
The structure is composed by 4m dish antenna and feed (Horn) .The MMS utility seems to be a good thing for this kind of work.
The frequency is around...
ni usb gpib settings for vna
Hi sergio
Tomorrow I will Check GPIB setting on my 8720B. I hope that it will be ok.
Can you tell me your version of Intuilink? I think it's V1.3 because V1.2 support 8720A/B/C.
I will inform you to my tests on VNA.
Thank
GREG
retrieve data from vna software gpib
Hi Sergio
When I used intuilink (V1.2), I was able to check the VNA and when I tried to transfert data I had the message "PU not supported".
It is stange because normally the V1.2 is able to support this VNA (8720B).
I used GPIB/USB from NI and not from...
Hi
Could anybody explain me the manual meshing with MWS V5? For the moment I don't find it very easy!
Is it possible to add meshes only around little details without prolonging them along X, Y or Z?
I tried to see the MSS (Multilevel Subgridding Scheme) but I didn't manage to see the meshing...
cst low frequency
Hi
I have seen a lot of opinions about CST or HFSS, but I need a new one about microstrip design for frequencies up to 10GHz and for wideband simulations
We plan to buy an EM software and I want to make the good choice for our design.
Our structures are often for antennas...
Hi
I'm looking for a software for capture data and graph from a 8720B network analyser.
I have the GPIB interface and I don't have time to write something under Labview.
I have tried intuilink (V1.2) and it doesn't work.
Could anybody help me??
Thank
Greg
Hi
For me MWO is a good RF software simulator. It's very easy to use and the result is good. With the new version, the Harmonic Balance simulation became faster than Ansoft serenade on several examples.
I had made an oscillator with doubler and I had compraed the practicals results with Ansoft...
