Hi Sarah. As I know the MC55i doesn´t send MMS message, so you could use other module or you could send the image to a server and from server you can resend the image to a cellphone. I had some problem like this and I noticed that the MC55i doesn´t send MMS message.

Hi andrea. The sim300 is easer to use if you compare with MC55i, but the Cinterion module is more stable and secure. In fact to use with a data logger is very hard for both, because you´ll need a controller to do a interface between the modules and datalogger. I recommends you to use the rs232...
