Hello Polymath
Thank you for your help. I read the information ant tried more or less of the points but maybe it is a problem with the transistor.

Hello together
I made some effort because I found a mistake in my layout. Pin 25 and Pin26 of the PIC18F4550 are wrong connected to PIC16F877:)
Now the self test brings me the following warning:

Hello polymath
Thank you very much for your hint. Yes I installed the Microchip-driver, sorry for the wrong information.
Is it a problem if I do not use the PIC16f877A? Do I need another bootloader file?
Best regards

Hello together
I made a ICD2 clone according to the schematics in this thread.
After mounting all the parts I programmed the PIC16F877 and PIC18F4550 with the firmware and installed the Micrchip USB driver.
My hardware has
PIC18F4550:
RB6 and RB7 of PIC18F4550 have 10K pull-up resistors, also...

microchip cdc driver
Hello ianomaley
Instead of the CDC driver I do my programming directly by using a USBAPI. Just have a look on this thread. Here I uploaded an example how to use it.
I works very fine!
Regarding the CDC-driver. Maybe try to check if your PC-port is a USB 2.0 port. I had...
Hello Drugly
Controlling a stepper motor can be done with two IOs of a micro controller. One signal is used for the clock (step) and one IO for the direction.
Ther are many stepper motor drivers generating the signals for the stepper motor on the market. A very easy one is the L297 combined...

Hello stroma
Attached the example application in Delphi and the related schematics and the related hardware.
The schematics is based on PIC USB demo of microchip. I found the schematics in the internet.
In my aplications, it works very fine
Hope it helps and best regards

usb bulk transfer
Hi together
I already did some successful USB-programming projects with the PIC18F4550. Communication is done with the USBAPI provided by microchip. However, the applications are very fine, I would like to improve the USB speed by using bulk transfer.
Has anyone of you...
Hello to all
I am surprised. This is really a very good project you offer here!! I already have an ICD2 with a FTDI and Debugging is not really possible because it is very slow.
I'll also try to build my own USB ICD2:)
Very good job!!!
