I am pretty new to FPGA. I need to design a system with up to 16 branches with 1Gbps data rate inputs to Cyclone IV board. What kind of I/O can I use in FPGA ? How difficult is it to implement? Where can I can get some reference?
I want to learn to implement algorithms on DSP board. Can you suggest some start kit? I found C6713 DSK on TI. But $395 is too expensive to me. Can I get some cheap ones like C6711 DSK?
Hi, I am new on FPGA. I am planning to buy a spartan3e starter kit. But I don't have idea if it has enough resource for my application. My application may need a lot of memory. The on board memory of spartan3e such as distributed RAM and block RAM may not be enough.
So my question is can I use...
'm doing a rough complexity estimate of an algorithm. What is a reasonable
value of the cost of a real multiplication relative a real addition? That
is, how many real adds is a real multiplication worth?

How about this one in digilent? It is only $99. They have 1000k option with $20 addition. I have not ideal if it is better than the spartan3E starter kit. Does anyone give some comments?

I would like to implement a LDPC decoding algorithm on a FPGA.
The code length might be 1000 to 3000.
Could you suggest a not quite expensive develop board?
How about spartan-3 or spartan-3E?
Thanks
