Hi, you can use the MC3479P (stepper motor controler by motorola, only need pulses and direccion. have a temperature limiter and short circuit protection) or use the L293 or L298, i use this chip to development mi produts and work very well. (www.dland.com.ar)

Hello everybody. i don't understand the problem with use 7407. the 12f683 and 4066 for what you place that? i made the ICD2 RS232 and i order the 18F4550 to made the ICD2 USB.
My RS232 ICD have a 7407 and MC34063, dont' have a MCP41010 (i can't seel, here, in argentina). work fine in 3,3v mode...

You must import the file in the MPLAB: FILE>import (select a *.HEX)

Tanks wjr1955 and polymath. but today i test the ICD2 with a PIC16F628A and had the same problem. ??? i made the steps indicates in the post: first rebuild the projet in ICD mode, reprogram de target and them RUN DEGUB.

the firmware need a modification of validation in the mplab >v7.11 and the original firmware (ej. ICD661.HEX) don't INCLUDE
with IC PROG select the chip (PIC16F877A) open de HEX (ICD661.HEX)...
