I am in need of an extensive menu system for an LCD, actuated with an encoder.
The architecture I have created is an encoder-controlled system. Push-button enters the next menu item. Moving the encoder engages the next-previous operation. This structure is based on a doubly-linked list...
In this datasheet two different impedance values are given for the same frequency. I was hoping someone could explain why this is?
MRFE6VS25LR5 Datasheet [PDF]
Page 15, and Page 22.
On page 15:
VDD = 50V, IDQ = 25mA, Pout = 25W CW
30MHz Zsource:44.9-j2.5, Zload=47.7-j6.1
"Zsource = Test...
That book absolutely rocks! It walks you through step by step the actual realization from the transfer function I calculated. This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
I consider this problem now solved. If anyone else is looking for similar answers I recommend getting yourself a copy...
I certainly do trust the filter calculators. One can also use the values and run a simulation to verify the proper calculated values, too.
This is just of educational interest to myself. I'm not sure how to take the numbers and turn them into component values even for filter with fewer poles...
Does anyone have some resources or mind explaining to me how we can synthesize a Chebyshev filter from the formulas specifically, and not from tables?
Specifically, I did the long form calculations starting with minimum number of poles and so forth, however, when I get to Gvalues G1, Gn I get...
I am trying to get an idea of what the output impedance of this circuit would be. First off, the harmonic termination is terminated with a 50 Ohm resistor (Rh) Lh and Ch are parallel resonant at the output frequency.
LPF Characteristic impedance would be 50 ohms.
My theory is that Rh would...
I think I found a fix for this, although I'm not quite sure if this would be the correct fix. I went into the pcb library for this part and changed solder mask "expansion from rule" It may have been a solder mask appearing here, but I'm not sure exactly what is going on so if someone has a good...
I'm trying to create a custom pad for a FET, however, the custom pad area "polygon" is not connected to the pad placed as seen in 3D View.
I made this part by following the Altium directions to create an outline, followed by Tools>Convert>Create Region from Selected Primitive. I then assigned...
I am indeed looking for a bandpass filter, and yes passive type. Although if it makes anything easier 1MHz would be fine too. My end application if for a 2m amateur radio bandpass filter. I think that if we get in the 1MHz area the components would be small enough to not be relatively expensive...
I would like to calculate the component values for a Butterworth filter, but cannot seem to figure out how to apply the formulas to give me meaningful values.
I have read through a few books recommended, and they seem to all focus on the transfer function and how it related to amplitude over...
Seems I made a mistake with the schematic. That jumper is not in the circuit.
I went and read through some datasheets again and my absolute theoretical maximum duty cycle would be 95% with the 5% minimum internal dead time around 150kHz.
To determine the theoretical maximum Vout for this...
TL494 Buck Converter Output Voltage Drop, Fixed Problem but what is the cause?
EDIT: I have found the problem. I switched to a logic level FET **broken link removed** from an IRF540.pdf but what would cause this problem? The max output voltage is now approximately 15v.
Greetings,
I have...
I have setup an LED regulator (NCP3065 - https://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/NCP3065.PDF ) using On Semiconductors design tool and it seems to have some serious issues, if anyone could take a look and give some feedback?
Schematic: https://i.imgur.com/70YVN.png (Current circuit will not...
Hey edaBoard,
I'm wanting to build an Audio Amp using a single supply and was wondering what topologies I can use to drive a single 8Ohm Speaker.
I've already tried vGnd (Both Resistor Divider and Voltage Follower) but it can't output much current. I've tried a bridged audio amp and killed one...
Greetings EDABoard,
I'm looking to build a SMPS using a 34063 switching regulator and was wondering can I use an external pass transistor for 12-23A output? I do apologize if my questions are basic, I'm just learning about Switching power supplies.
What I'm looking to design:
13.8v Power...
