    linux distro sata support Baseline version is RHEL 2. RHEL 3/4 are OK. RHEL 4 has Sata support and you can use CentOS (it is a free version of RHEL).

    Astro Vs SOC encounter I think the best tool is yourself but not any tool. Both Astro and encounter are OK when you are skillful for them.

    You can use Tanner EDA tools instead of Cadence IC on Windows.
