Hi biff44, thank you very much for you valuable answer...
Well, i dont know exactly how cadence determine the output noise. However, assuming that the circuit is considered by the simulator as a LTV system, the total output noise is just the sum of each output noise contribution, isn't it? Take...
Hi
Im doing a phase noise simulation in cadence (using MMSIM70) Im using the option "noise separation" to determine the amount of noise introduced by each instance in my circuit. However, when i compare the total output noise (in the band of interest) with the sum of the individual...
cmos vco design thesis
Hi,
Did you get an answer to your question? Currently im trying to design a buffer for my vco and i didnt find good information about it...any comments?
delay line discriminator for noise measurement
Thanks for the replay.
Yes, im talking about a free-running VCO. Could you suggest a good document taking about the application of this technique in PN measurement.
Regards
Re: Vds and W/L
Well, Why do you need it? Is a theoretical doubt? Are you going to fabricate what you are designing? This is the first thing you have to provide us....
The Vds voltage of a transistor in this conditions is very unstable, i. e. it is very sensitive to almost anything, so the...
Re: Vds and W/L
Do you remember the inversor cell? Two transistors conected as your example, but with equal voltage at the gate. The same approach can be applied to your case and obviously there will be an expression of Vd for m4, and you can get it for a level 2 transistor model...
calculation spiral inductor
Well it depends on the material's resistivity and the signal frequency, but I guess that the mount of precission required for the resistence value depends on the application, for example it is for an integrated inductor?
transistor ac analysis
Well, you can consult any electronic circuit book to get a more detailed answer for you question. However, a basic idea is...
Input capacitor, normaly the books introduce bypass capacitor for bias, it is not common in a integrated sense, instead it is use for discrete...
I guess there is a mistake here, Are you giving an expression for the supply noise?
supply-gnd=(supply+nosie)-(gnd+nosie)
If this is true, differential circuits wouldn't have noise at output and the problem of noise would be overcome.
Remember that when you are dealing with noise analysis, you...
Re: lithography
International technology roamap for semiconductors, I guess this is the best source, there is a specific topic for lithography.
If it can help you, don't forget the help button!

Depending on the simualator you are using, there are specific sentences for dealing with temperature. I guess is better use such as sentences instead of change the temp values in the model. So the question is: What simulator are you using?
