i dont use or even know C#, but C# is somekind more related to java than to c++. It needs .net or other alternativas (mono as open source etc). Unless you get mono or .net working in your embedded system if i'm not wrong you can't use C# ( ? )
fpga cds adc
1. any ram will be useful, but remember you need interface, if you use ddr, you'll need a ddr controller etc. the modules are available but that needs more space. Maybe you can use internal memory (some fpgas have it) but not to store 25 seconds of 24 bits sampled audio.

orcad pcad netlist
right, just use only the netlist, export it to the format needed and do forward/backward ECO if needed.
we use orcad for schematics (compatibility is an issue) and our designers use mentor graphics for pcb.

why not using solder wick for the easy ones?
for ic the best is air-hot station, not available you can try:
- (destructive), just cut the pins and unsolder pins individual,
or
- apply solder in all the pins (shortcut all of them) and apply heat in all...
hmm, maybe:
1. Analog: FM is easier to modulate/demodulate than PM.
2. Digital: BFSK needs 2 times bit energy more than BPSK to get the same probability of error. (i.e points in constellation are nearer).

Re: Schematic V/S HDL
is there any vhdl to sch "block modules" translator ?. I mean , separating vhdl in modules an just click and "watch" somekind a sch of modules and interconexion between them ? (just as informative sch, not needed architecture of the modules).
