    Fancy LED display patterns

Hello, I'm trying to design fancy LED display for xmas decoration for my store. I have 100 LEDs arranged as 3 concentric circles. The target MCU is of course PIC and the software is in C. I also utilised shift registers with latches to multiplex the I/Os. The challenge is putting together...

recieve local radio transmission and listen it on computer

Re: recieve local radio transmission and listen it on comput You might want to consider a basic tv capture card with integrated radio. In UK £35 will get u one with remote control

By the way my mouse uses a TI uC!

what is the most popular ucontroller?

In my opinion the usage of a particular uC should determine how popular the 8-bit uC is. It is a fact that the industrial market for 8051 based uCs is still the largest at the moment. Therefore Microchip PICs, although popular and the cheapest to date will always be a second player in the world...

Information or links on FIFOs needed

Re: Information on FIFOs Furthermore, will your implimentation in hardware be using VHDL on PLDs or do you mean design on a microcontroller? Otherwise I'll probably suggest you think about using purpose built fifo chips.

Can some one raise a digital circuit design project for me?

Re: Can some one raise a digital circuit design project for how about designing an hardware multiplier and even go futher to include an adder to make a multiply and accumulate digital module.

Information or links on FIFOs needed

Re: Information on FIFOs When you mean FIFOs are you refering to implimentation of FIFOs in software or FIFO chips generally. Try and be more specific. I do have some documents on FIFOs but I'm not sure what u're after. I aquired them when I needed to implement cyclic FIFOs in software

Your point of view please: the future of 8-bit MCU

I strongly believe the best 8-bit MCUs in the furture will be the one with the highest level of integration with analog funtionality. This is a foundation well laid by Cypres's 8-bit mixed signal PSOC. Imagine a tiny 8-bit MCU controlling all the functions of a vending machine and when the whole...

Your point of view please: the future of 8-bit MCU

8-bit mcu is definately here to stay. In the future all we will see is either a DSPs or ASIC and a central 8-BIT MCU to coordinate their operation.

    Tips for transmitting under water

Re: Transmitting under water Why working with radio transmitters when u can use ultrasonic modules which work pretty well in water? Unless of course your application specifically requires radio transmitter. Otherwise a combination of both technologies is also feasible

Companies that sell gyro compass sensors

gyrocompass analog devices I've taken time to scan through the datasheet of the MEMS IC from analogue devices. Output from them are digital in nature (PWM) which suits your requirement. They also have a vast array of aplication notes descibing its use. I'm pretty sure they will comment of the...

    PIC18 & Interrupt Problem

interrupts external in pic18 This might not be right but if RB0 is connected to a switch. then you will have to implement a protocol to debounce it otherwise rattling of the switch is sufficient enough to to send your program in ISR all the time.
