I am running a mismatch analysis in Cadence and measuring a 10uA current. This 10uA current can be trimmed. I would like to change the trim code of the current for every iteration
when I am running a mismatch analysis. In simple words, I want to measure the current, trim it to its target value...
I agree with your suggestions.
If I am using a 0.18um process, what should be the typical length of mosfets MP8 and MN6 ??
Can they be replaced by a resistor ??
The attached picture shows a folded cascode amplifier with class AB o/p stage.
* How should I select the W/L of the mosfets MP7, MN5, MP8 and MN6 ?
* Suppose this amplifier architecture has a fully differential o/p.
Assume that only the tail current PMOS source Ib1 , input diff pair devices...
In your reply you said " select only the top device, switch off the lower ones". Does it mean turn ON the topmost NMOS switch M1 and turn OFF all the switches below it ?
Also "set Ron at least 10 times smaller than R" . For the trim network 2 in the picture, should I place the lowest...
The picture shows resistive trim networks.
I am using a 0.18um CMOS process.
How should I choose the NMOS switch size (W/L) for the resistive network 1 and 2 ?
What criteria decides the required ON resistance for the NMOS switches ?
I used the command ocnYvsYplot(?wavex Vds ?wavey Id awvSetXAxisLabel("Vds") awvSetYAxisLabel("Id"))
But I get an error. Can you tell me the correct format for the above ?
I am running an ocean script in Cadence to plot expressions.
The command I used was ocnYvsYplot(?wavex Vds ?wavey Id)
The above command does not display axis labels Id and Vds.
How can I see the axis labels ? What needs to be changed in the command for this ??
Hello, I get the following error while running an Ocean script from the CIW window
I can run the simulation from the ADE L window and see the waveforms also.
Can someone suggest a solution to this problem I face while running the ocean script ?
The bandgap in the attached photo has a feedback from the output. Obviously stability needs to be checked or it can show an output with oscillations.
How do I determine the gain margin and phase margin of the system ?
Can someone provide ideas for a test circuit to determine the stability...
