I'm just thinking that I might have been hasty in my drawing - 20V at the top and bottom should actually be the 50V from your ULN2803. A transistor with better power capabilities may be necessary. To address DIR would require an additional pin for every electromagnet you use, but that's it...
Hi Prabhu,
Sounds like an interesting project. It's just off the top of my head, but maybe something like what I've drawn here is what you would be looking for....
At the antenna-theory.com site there is a page that talks about the impedance looking into the patch based on different feed methods, but they all are derived with respect to the edge impedance. Rather than a guess-and-check method, or depending solely on the output of an optimizer, using these...
This is an excellent source - and as you'll find, an inset or 1/4 wave transformer will help with matching. The question is, what is the edge impedance?? I was wondering this myself a little while ago and came across this after a lot of looking around... I'm sorry I don't have any reference...
Thanks yura717 for your quick reply! I'd stumbled across this before, but was unsure... Can PUFF create files to be sent to the PCB manufacturer, or is it primarily for simulation and testing? I couldn't find too much detail on this application either...
Hello,
I am a relatively new user of the KiCAD suite for Linux, and I could really use some references to get me started. There seems to be a lot on general schematic-to-PCB procedures, but I am specifically interested in the microwave design tools. I am involved in a project where we will...
