    Static relay vs ZVS commutation

Thanks, Yet, we also often see room heater driven by Triacs or hybrid relay (Triac + EMR in parralel). Then, the ZVS seems usefull for this application (even if it triggers only few times per hour). That's why this question. :-P

    Static relay vs ZVS commutation

Once again, thank you Brian, Then no standard to fullfil that should say that a triggering at ZVS is mandatory (as in my application this is not a repetitive triggering but only about once per 10 min...).

    Static relay vs ZVS commutation

Thank you Brian, Few SSR are mentionned: "With integrated ZVS for resistive load". (for exemple SIEMENS SSR). That's why I would like to know if it is integrated too fullfil a specific standard ?

    Static relay vs ZVS commutation

Hello, Application is room heater. Resistive load switched on MAINS. Focus on the switch. I have to choose. EMR or SSR ? SSR is able to switch at MAINS ZVS. As, in my application, the switch will be turned ON only few times per hour, considered as not repetitive disturbance, then not...

    Washing machine Drain pump control

This is not a pump but a motor. No pipes, here the motor allow to pull the metalix wire. Unfortunalty, Im sorry I havent any P/N to show... If someone knows... Please let me know ! :)

    Washing machine Drain pump control

Additionnal information, There are 2 Triacs to drive the load: one in the Terminal 1 and an another on Terminal 3, and both connected to Neutral. Terminal 2 is connected to the Phase. How to drive Triacs ? in the same time ? separatly ? which sequence ? What is this coil function ? Thank you...

    Washing machine Drain pump control

Hello Andre, No, this is not a drain pump. This is a drain motor. I think for washing machine with with vertical drum (for asiatic market). Then no pipe, as this is a single metalic wire that manage a small door (Im not sure, but I supposed). For example, but with only two wires to plug into...

    Washing machine Drain pump control

Hello, I have in my hands a drain motor for washing machine (with a metalic wire, i think to open mechnically a small door and then evacuate the water). I really dont understand how does it works and how to drive it. I have find a document in chinese on the web, please see the schematic...

    Buck for low power application

Hello, Some news about my research: - PowerInt devices : I have found a good candidate for my applications (very low stand-by consumption). http://www.powerint.com/products/linkzero-family/linkzero-ax - Linear Tech: I don't find any component with my input voltage requirement (No...

    Buck for low power application

It has sense, you could have a LED lamp converter in series with a light dimmer for example... Thanks for the manufacturers, I will check their portfolio and I will post my results.

    Buck for low power application

I take care about the power consumption because I have a load in series with my application on the MAINS. This load could be disturbed by a too high current sunk from the MAINS, its the reason I need a SMPS. Questions: 1/ Did you know a good tool to design a buck converter fastly ? 2/ Which...

    Buck for low power application

mtwieg, I'm care about these 30 mW. It's higher than my output consumption. Which manufacturers are specialists of low power converters ? BradtheRad, I cannot use a capacitive power supply because I have switch (Triac) in parrallel of this power supply that I turn ON every 10 ms. Then the...

    Buck for low power application

Buck for low output power application Hello, I need to implement a buck converter in a specific application that required very low output power. Capacitive and resistive power supply are not possible to use because of too high power losses or too high input peak current. My requirements are...
