ermm.... maybe you can try do FFT to evaluate the relationship between modulated gaussian pulse parameters (ws, T, t0) and their corresponding spectrum.
Regards
CST is time domain EM simulator, frequency domain response is extracted by using FFT after time domain results are got. Based on the frequency range you want to simulate, the CST will help you to shape the modulated Gaussian pulse to cover the frequency range. For general usage, I have not...
Measure PCB inductor
It seems to me that the inductor ground plane is directly sitting on top of the big dark blue plate, will it affect your PBG inductor ground plane design? how did you assemble SMA connector, and what is your de-embedding structure?
Measure PCB inductor
Yes, there are too many parasitic capacitance/inductance from the the dark blue color metal plates (fringing capacitance to your ustripe pads, long via inductance). I will guess this piece of metal plate is for shielding purpose, am I right? From the observation of...
Re: Measure PCB inductor
You can reference on-chip inductor probing pads, and extend those pads to coxial connector by using uniform transmissionline, of course, you have to do proper de-embedding. Regards
Re: Problem of asign waveport inside the radiation enviromen
You can use metal (PEC) cap after the waveport to excite within the computational domain,
Rgds.
Those two formular represent different meaning, Y(1,1) is not equal to 1/Z(1,1).
For two lumped ports simulation, you need check whether two ports share common reference ground plane.

Re: Theoretical and experimental reader range in UHF RFID ta
If you can list all the numbers you used to calcuate the reading range, it will be helpful for trouble shooting here.
In your calcuation, did you take the polarization mismatch into the consideration?
Can you access to the rectifier...
eigenmode hfss
I thought what you got is the air box (cavity) resonance. For you transmission line resonance, you may try to use waveport or lumpedport to excite your structure and observe resonance.
