wire acts as a which type of filter :high pass or low pass ?

Well.... if it's a wire fence it could be a 'no-pass',
if it's a wire gate, it could be an 'open to pass',
if it's a wire hanging noose, it could be a 'too late, you shouldn't have passed'

Seriously, wire is a conductor not a filter.

Yes, not by intention.
However, it acts like a filter - if you like it or not. It also acts as an antenna.
Surely, it conducts dc and its ability to conduct will decrease at higher frequencies.
Thus, more or less, I guess, it has low pass properties - perhaps together with some "notches" due to resonance effects.

I disagree, this wire has no DC on it and it's across the signal so it's inductance is making it a high pass filter.

This proves how too little information allows us to interpret the question in so many ways. :D

So, you assume a double wire, don`t you?

Yes, I totally agree.

Oh no! Someone talked technical :|

Anyway, all of us ignored the possibility that there might be radial resonance INSIDE the wire because of the cavity formed internal to the skin effect. I confidently predict, using all the information given, that wire is actually a bandpass filter, centered in the tens of THz region and furthermore, the center is unstable because of gravity fluctuations.
