Why do companies like INTEL,MOTOROLA,IBM..etc are spending millions of dollars on research?? Why are they coming up High performance processors which reduce execution time, increase the processor speed etc... If they had stopped with Celleron or Pentium 1/2 processor....you wouldnt have enjoyed playing computer games on those processors ...right??
ARM is basically Advanced RISC processor customzed to execute functions at a much slower time which would have taken really a lot of time if you do with 89c51 uC....
ARM has a lot of built-in functions which 89c51 cannot perform....If you need more info about ARM just google it....Sorry if I am rude

A major advantage of the ARM processor besides its speed, is that it provides a standardized architecture that a manufacturer can incorporate into its designs via a license from ARM without the manufacturer having to do its own processor design. ARM does not manufacture hardware. It only licenses intelectual property.
