why non-data aided timing recovery is better than data aided recovery? if that true

That's false. More Information/Knowledge of the received signal is always better. Potential data aided timing recovery is better than non-data aided timing recovery in sense of a lower Bit Error Rate. A disadvantage is of course that you need to provide the extra data for a data aided timing recovery.
