1. opteron 2.8GHz dual core server CPU
2. Intel Core 2 Duo 3Ghz E6850
3. AMD althon64 6000+ dual core
4. amd fx62 2.9Ghz
5. Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz 4 core
6. Xeon E6300 server CPU

which is fast in hspice simulation under linux OS
which CPU is best for hspice simulation ..someone said AMD K8 + 400MHz equal Intel core2duo is really or not ?

Any kind, believe it or not, early version of hspice can run on a 20Mhz 386 machine

Oh, I can't pay for anyone!
Anyway I will choose AMD3600+(65nm).

sorry .. My means is which type CPU will run "fast"

In fact, you don't get linear performance with multi-core CPU from my experience for single Hspice simulation job. It's better to choose the highest clock rate if you use either INTEL or AMD CPU. I will prefer AMD FX62 2.9GHz

Intel is better. It's more original
