what scan library file should be used if using saed90nm library files for scan chain to insert test structures?

What is "scan library"? .lib file should containt SDFF/SDFR cells to insert during synthesis using DC/RC.

DC reads file in .db format and i cannot figure out which of the files contains scan chain cells which i need to insert.

DC replace the normal filp-flop to scan flip-flop during compilation (with compile_ultra -scan command). Usually scan flip-flops name are SDFF*. If you want to check whether .db has scan flop or not just give (ofcouse after reading the design and libs)

report_lib <lib_name>

it will give all cells present in library
