Where can I get old ICs for old boards ?

Help to get old IC...

Anyone show me how to get an old chip on an old board (IC package = Quad Flat Package). I live in Viet Nam.

which chip, which board?

is your problem to GET the chip at all (for to repair a broken chip), or

is your problem to MOUNT the chip on your board?

everyboard and everychip because there are a lot of old boards in my country, so I want to get old IC to reuse.

The best is use some tweezers and a hot air desoldering equipment.

That is my opinion, but mayve a good soldering iron and a solder sucker can do.

if you have many employees, give every one a good soldering iron and a solder sucker, it is enough.

You should have 2 solder-irons. Put much solder to that IC, move your hand with both 2 iron quickly.
It is easy if that IC is not so big. (Except for BGA )

That kind of equipment is too expensive. Don't waste it for recycled ICs.

By far, the cheapest is to use a hot air gun (paint striper), and a long tweeser.
Heat the chip, then pull it off the board.
This, assuming that you are interested in getting the chips, and not worrying about the board afterwards.
I use this method to remove 3-4 chips at a time

Help to get old IC...

You can use a clean pease of copper wire,heat it with the soldering iron and the solder will attatch itself to the wire.

You take the chip out the same way you put it in. There are professional sodering and desoldering machine. How do you know the chip still good. You need to sort the accordingly. It's cheaper to buy surplus chip.
