it sounds like visa card terminal with keypad+LCD
i got some of these but there was proprietary IC inside with unknown IO protocole :cry:

The german company Hartman makes tiny keypad's with built-in I2C LCD Display. But there are TINY!!!
I've got 5pcs if someone has an emergency I can help, or contact Hartman directly.
