Hi all,

I am designing this class D amplifier with feedback. The THD is pretty high.

I am really wondering the causes of the THD. I know it should have come from the non-linearity in the system. I hope to reduce it to minimal, but really got problem.

Do anyone design it before? Or any thesis on it? Thanx in advance

Go on IF's website and find a document on their sample project Class-D 400W audio amplifier Using IRF2110 I think. They included schematic in the document, so you can compare your design to theirs and see where are you doing wrong.

Sorry, could we have more details about the web address please?
can't find it!:|:|

Hi all,

what spec you design?board level or IC ?

I have a experience in class-d apa (3.3v,8 ohm speaker, pwm modulation,
,analog fully differential input ,tsmc0.18um)
the spec I refered is tpa2005d1

my design flow is,built up behavior model first, run ac and transient simulation
,then subsitue transistor level block, such as op,comparator,PWM generator ...
so , in the process u can check what non-ideal characteristic impect ur THD+N
performance,

best regards,
