report_area unit

from DC report_area result, how to convert that unit to gates?
e.g,

Combinational area: 2503906.000000
Noncombinational area: 16571702.000000

Usually, we need a script(such as perl) to do this work, otherwise you

can get the information when you do LVS.

noncombinational report_area

Hi,
To convert this into number of gates :

No.of gates = (combinational area + noncombinational area)
-----------------------------------------------------
area of 2-input NAND/NOR from technology

Typically area of 2-input NAND/NOR in UMC18 technology is :10.0

Hope this helps.
Regards,
- satya

report noncombinational areaとは

The sum of Combinational area and Noncombinational area equal total Gates, in Chartered .35, 1 Gate = 52.9um^2
