diff between ipv6 and ipv4

Hey

-IPv4 is 32bit and IPv6 is 128bit.
-Address space is expanded from 32bit to 128bit
-IPv4 can support up to 2^32 addresses,
-IPv4 addresses are finishing to be used in near future.
-So IPv6 is develop as a replacement
-more space avialable in IPv6

Thank you

what is ipv4

The need to have IPv6 arose due to increase in number of devices that may require IP addresses in near future. This included home appliances also in addition to your traditional PC and mobiles.
Now the address space in IPv6 is such that everything on earth can have an IP address!!!

whats the address space between ipv4 and ipv6

with IPv6 there are 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 available ip addresses; there are approximately 665,570,793,348,866,943,898,599 addresses per square meter of the surface of the planet Earth!

i think these are unbelievable numbers!!!
