I'm assuming you mean CDMA.

They are the two competing cellular protocols in the United States.

Sprint and Verizon are on the CDMA network, while T-Mobile and AT&T are on the GSM/GPRS network.

As far as modules are concerned, here is a guide showing some prominent resellers in the United States:

You should read in detail about GSM or CDMA firstly, after you select topic, i think it is better for you. I give you some ideas: Handover or Power control...
 

GSM and CDM

if u want to make ur project in GSM, you should select at least select what you want to do.. If you want to work on a GSM-modem or GSM programming then I suggest you read GSM AT commands first.
