What is an antenna violation? When will it occur?

antenna happens when you have long/fat metals that are directly connected to a gate. during the chip fabrication process, these metals act as an antenna and capture charge during planarization steps. this charge is transferred to the gate. if the charge collected is above a certain threshold, damage will occur. wires have to be reshaped to avoid these antenna violations, either by upvia jogging or by using a diode.
