The Rational Software used to be a leader company in UML modeling software before it was acquired by IBM (www.rational.com). Rational Rose is their major UML modeling tool that provides full support for UML 2.0 as well as for a full project management cycle standard called rational unified process (RUP), etc., etc., etc., simply it's a BIG TOOL ;-)
