Hello guys

I want to know the different types of noise that have major affect on the channel..

Which one really reduces the channel performance?

- just out of curiosity, do any of know what noise are available in power line?

Thanks guys

Noise is anything that interferes with a message being transmitted from a sender to a receiver. It results from both internal and external factors.

Two main types
1.External noise
atmosphere noise
man made noise
2.Internal noise
thermal noise
short circuit
3.extra terrestrial noise
solar noise

White noise, guassian noise are 2 important features that degrade the signal

Power line noise itself is a very vast field by itself

Transmission line noise, which includes corona, insulator, and Aeolian noise, can be generated throughout the transmission line route

refer this for transmission line noise
