The trend of whole electronic industry hese days is based on VLSI technology..
the two imp things r..
1. Using existing technology,implement different application with high reliability and securitu..this is related to embede applications,real time application and analog systems..
2. Getting the new technology is also a going trend i.e nothing but nano..
 

vlsi is going to be more developed in the future.
