Question on LCD

Iwould like to ask what are the different in REFLECTIVE TYPE, TRANSFLECTIVE TYPE AND TRANSMISSIVE TYPE? What is their avanteges and disavantages?
Also I would like to ask what is the meaning of "EL" in LCD?

Hi!
EL is used for Electr Luminiscent. It is a kind of backlight.
