MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER

I HAVE TO AMPLIFY A MIC WAVE WITH OP-AMPS, MY FIRST DUTY IS JUST TO DESIGN THE PREAMPLIFIER. i HAVE THIS QUESTION:

BEFORE BEGGINIG TO DESIGN I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANOTHER CRITERIA DIFFERENT FROM THE TYPICAL TIPS TO AMPLIFY A MICROPHONE WAVE, I MEAN IS IT AS EASY AS DESIGNING A mV AMPLIFIER AND CONNECTING THE MIC TO THE INPUTS, AND THEN WATCHING THE WAVE IN TE OSCILLOSCOPE????

THNX FOR YOUR HELP

Re: MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER

There are several things you have to consider in your design.

1. Having the amplifier input impedance be what the microphone needs for a load.

2. Having the frequency response the system needs.

3. The amplifier should have low noise.

Re: MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER

I would like to add another tip:
Think differential (At least at the first stage).
It's recommended, especially if you use the common electret microphone.

Re: MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER

any thoughts on biasing the microphone especially a condensor type??

Re: MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER

Search for good op-amps especially of high input impedance so that you can avoid niose to a greater extent
